is proud to announce one of our many 50th Anniversary Projects,
A Historical and Inspirational look at EST 1960-2010: a new book by Joan Fairweather

The Board of Directors of Equity Showcase Theatre, President of the Board David Macniven, and the Director of Professional Development Kevin McCormick are pleased to announce that EST has engaged Joan Fairweather to write a book on the history of EST to honour our 50th Anniversary.

This Book will reflect the history of this landmark non-profit arts organization and its place within the Canadian Theatre Scene.

EST would love to hear from anyone who has been a part of its programs and Showcases throughout the years. In particular we are looking for stories that artists have about their experiences, pictures you may have collected, reviews, memories and any comments on what EST has meant to you.

EST has served the professional community of artists and the emerging artists category since 1960. Our Faculty and Alumnae reads like a who’s-who of Canadian Theatre. We are Honored to have served Canadian Artists throughout our lengthy history, and we look forward to hearing from you and your participation in this exciting project that will serve and inspire our Community both now and years to come.
